The phone has been long overdue and owing to supply constraints, has been postponed more than essential. But finally, the much awaited Sony Xperia Z2 is coming to India this week.
Recent reports by Eco Times have suggested that the phone will launch in India on May 8th. Sony Xperia Z2 was announced at MWC this year and the device offers a major upgrade to last year's flagship, Sony Xperia Z1. While certain specifications are shared by the smartphones, the camera and hardware has gotten a definite boost.
Sony Xperia Z2 runs the latest Android version, Android KitKat and is water-resistant and dust-proof as most Sony flagships of the Xperia series. The phone boasts of a 5.2-inches FHD display with scratch-resistant glass and the now known Sony Triluminos display with the X-Reality engine. The quad-core Snapdragon 801 2.3 GHz processor with 3GB RAM makes the phone as smooth as butter and almost lag-free. The phone clearly boasts of the best hardware in the market and on paper, it is a clear match for the current flagships. Sony Xperia Z2 comes in just one internal memory variant, the 16GB version though the memory can be expanded up to 128GB.
