A lot of Motorola users confirmed through the Motorola Feedback Network that the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS update are now rolling out on their respective devices.
It seemed that the mobile manufacturer skipped the 4.4.3 version of the Android Kitkat and will go directly to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat version. Some of the Motorola handsets that received the latest and final Kitkat update are DROID Maxx, DROID Ultra, and DROID Mini.
Aside from the DROID smartphones, Moto E, Moto G, and Moto X users will receive the said update. Currently, the only devices that run with the final version update of the Android Kitkat OS are the Nexus and Google Play Edition devices
Android is built on the open Linux Kernel. Furthermore, it utilizes a custom virtual machine that was designed to optimize memory and hardware resources in a mobile environment. Android is open source; it can be liberally extended to incorporate new cutting edge technologies as they emerge. The platform will continue to evolve as the developer community works together to build innovative mobile applications
